Do you ever find yourself going around in circles with your brain?
And around we go.
Look, this is a good start if you’re working on confidence. At least you’re challenging the negative thoughts, rather than just believing them.
But if you want to finally stop the merry-go-round… 🎠
They key is to stop arguing with your brain.
In an argument about whether or not you’re “good enough”, your brain will always find evidence that you’re not - and reasons to discount evidence that you are.
Your brain’s top priority is alerting you to potential dangers.
It WILL find a way to win the argument.
But here’s the magic. You don’t HAVE to participate. 🤷♀️
In the same way you wouldn’t engage in an argument with a toddler about why they can’t have the sixth bar of chocolate. It’s just a “no”.
“Maybe I’m not good enough” is just a thought.
As soon as you engage, you’re back on the merry-go-round.
Time to step off. 🔥
Warmly
Alex
