How to feel more motivated

If you’re struggling with lack of motivation, you’re not alone! 

We all have periods where we feel like we’re just going through the motions. 

We start to ask ourselves why we’re even bothering. 

Isn’t there an easier career out there for us?! 

Maybe it’s got to the stage where the only thing motivating you is fear.

  • Fear of your boss or clients if you don’t finish the thing…
  • Fear of not being ‘good enough’

I’ve been there. It sucks. 

Fear is a pretty effective short-term motivator, but is that really how we want to live?

Not me. 

So, if you’re looking for other ways, remember the recipe. 

Motivation is just a feeling (or collection of them) created by our thoughts. 

What you focus on matters. 

I’m pretty sure, in a career as challenging as yours, there are reasons WHY you’re doing it. Reasons other than fear. Things you value. Ambitions that drive you. 

Tap back into that. Ask yourself:

  • Why was I excited about this career in the first place?
  • What do I enjoy about it?  How am I GREAT at it? 
  • What are my big dreams and ambitions?

If there are zero reasons WHY you’re doing it, just quit. Life’s too short. 

You have a good brain. There are plenty of other things you can do. 

But often, we’ve just forgotten our WHY. 

Take some time EVERY DAY to remind yourself. 

Let’s generate some motivation from excitement, abundance & ambition!
