Here are five practical things I’m doing right now to manage my stress levels.
Try one or two on for size and let me know how you get along!
1️⃣ Taking a social media break. The doom scrolling was NOT helping my emotional state. I’ve deleted the apps from my phone. Highly recommend. 🏝️
2️⃣ Regular daily walks. This one is HUGE for me. Change of environment, being in nature if you can, fresh air. All really beneficial to regulate the nervous system. 🌳
3️⃣ Exercise / Movement. I’m really into strength training at the moment – but whatever floats your boat, get moving. Great for managing physical and emotional energy levels. 🏋️♀️
4️⃣ Mindfulness. Not for everyone, but I listen to a daily 10-minute mindfulness audio. Brings a lot of calm energy and consciousness into my routine. 🧘♀️
5️⃣ Pockets of Joy. Might sound a bit woo, but I deliberately look for and FEEL little pockets of joy in my day. Walking my dog in the morning sunshine = pure joy. 🐶
And … because I genuinely want you to feel better over the long-term, it would be disingenuous of me not to say that the most powerful tool I have is knowing how to intentionally manage my mind.
Mindset tools are what I used to lower my stress about:
I can’t control the world around me, but I CAN choose what to think about it.
Simple, but not always easy.

P.S. In case you hadn't noticed, emojis also bring me joy. #sorrynotsorry 😀
